When Life is Too Much

When you feel swept away in the course of events, it’s important to return to the moment. In each moment everything is well.

When you let go of attachment to how life should be and you moor yourself to your Center, its like a boat at sea who is anchored. The storms may toss it around but it can’t get too far from where it is Centered. This is the calm in the storm that we can each access in each breath.

In the moments that we can’t find our Center its ok because each moment is a brand new moment where we have access again to our center. We are given so many tries – this is one of the wonderful bounties the Universe gives us.

A new breath is available in every moment and a new moment is available in every breath.

“Thou art He who changeth through His bidding abasement into glory, and weakness into strength, and powerlessness into might, and fear into calm, and doubt into certainty.”

Bahá’u’lláh

“When at the end of this day, if all you can offer the world is a handful of brokenness, give it. Then in return, let the world hold you in its grace as you sleep tonight.”

Open Passages: Doors and Windows to the Soul, Susan Frybort

Return to breath as often as you need. In the moments you can’t return to breath say to yourself “Even though I am unable to return to breath right now, I still love and accept myself unconditionally right now.”

And then try again to return to breath. In the expansiveness of the breath is the expansiveness of the moment. Find it and sink into it for you are safe.
