Inviting Ourselves to Be

Since we were quite young we have been told to be strong, be courageous, toughen up, get past "it". We were told this by family, society and then ourselves

The ease with which the following phrases come to mind so easily is indicative: "mind over matter", "no pain, no gain", "just get over it already", "make it happen no matter the cost" and many others that are probably coming to your mind already.

We have been taught to push past ourselves, over and over.

  • We feel emotions but we push past ourselves because we don't know how to deal with them.

  • We are feeling exhausted but we push past ourselves to keep moving.

  • We are feeling low energy one day but we push past ourselves to be just as productive as any other day.

  • We are feeling discontent that we aren't as connected to our partner as we once were, but we push past ourselves because we are lost on what to do.

  • We feel like our job no longer feels like it aligns with who we are, but we push past ourself for the paycheck or the stability or the status.

What if instead we learned to invite ourselves to be.

  • What if we feel emotions and we invite ourselves to feel them fully.

  • What if we feel exhausted and we invite ourselves to rest.

  • What if we feel low energy and we invite ourselves to do less that day.

  • What if we are feeling discontent that we aren't as connected to our partner and we invite ourselves to feel, think and tap into our intuition about why, and we invite them to join us.

  • What if we are feeling like our job no longer aligns with us and we invite ourselves to feel, think and tap into our intuition about why and possibly about what is next.

This may strike us as being "too soft" on ourselves or being impractical or uncomfortable but realize that this is just other language to support pushing past ourselves again.

Don't listen.

By fully inviting yourself to feel, to rest, to notice your disconnect and your non-alignment you will become a more powerful and clear and active version of yourself.

You will act on what you learn and in so doing you will become connected to your loved ones, aligned with your Design, more connected to your feelings, thoughts, intuition and your worthiness for wholehearted rest.

You will have invited yourself to truly be. And it will be magnificent.
